Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) on Monday asked the Federal Government to convene a conference of all parties (APC) in response to the recent threats of India after Pahalgam’s deadly attack.

When heading to a Senate session on Monday, PTI Ali Zafar senator said: “People know very well the script of the Modi drama,” and added that India could not unilaterally suspend the Water Treaty of the Indo (IWT).

When qualifying the Indian accusations against Pakistan regarding Pahalgama’s attack as “without foundation”, Zafar accused Prime Minister Modi of “leading India towards destruction.”

The April 22 attack caused indignation in India, with his government blaming Pakistan, a claim that Islamabad denied strongly, qualifying him as a “false flag operation.” In response to accusations and increasing pressure, India announced its unilateral suspension of the Six -decades Water Treaty, further increasing tensions.

“If the government led by Modi even diverts a drop of Pakistan water, it will be considered an enemy attack,” Zafar warned during his comments.

The opposition leader in the Senate Senator, Shibli Faraz, also took the floor, reinforcing the call to the National Unity. “We are united when it comes to defending Pakistan,” he said, emphasizing that the country faces internal and external challenges.

Faraz criticized New Delhi for trying to destabilize Pakistan and push an aggressive anti-Pakistan narrative. He said that India’s threats on water could not be taken as “political statements”, but should be treated as “war acts”, adding that the enemy was actively planning a lethal attack against Pakistan.

Meanwhile, the PML-N senator, Irfan Siddiqui, criticized the actions and construction of India’s stories after the Pahalgam incident.

He said the international community had rejected the “false statements and propaganda” of India against Pakistan. “The world did not support India’s position or its manufactures. His propaganda has been exposed,” he said.

By highlighting procedural irregularities, Siddiqui questioned how the attackers could cross the very surrounding control line (LOC) without being detected.

He pointed out that a FIR for the attack was recorded immediately and the accusations were leveled against Pakistan even before an investigation began. “It seems that the FIR was presented first and the incident occurred later,” he said.

He also condemned India’s attempt to unilaterally withdraw from the Treaty of the Water of the Indo, reminding the Senate who was an internationally recognized agreement, backed by the World Bank.

“No country can unilaterally withdraw from the treaty. You can’t turn Pakistan into karbala cutting its water,” Siddiqui warned.
