Islamabad: The Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) has announced that it will boycott the next partial elections in the constituencies of the members of the disqualified party in the cases of May 9, declaring those people their “true representatives.”
Several electorals are at stake since the Pakistan Electoral Commission (ECP) recently disqualified several legislators belonging to the PTI after their convictions in cases related to the disturbances of May 9.
According to the ECP schedule, partial elections will be organized in the Circumscections of NA-66 Wazirabad, Na-129 Lahore-XIII and PP-87 Mianwali-III on September 18, while in Na-143 SAHIWAL-Lll, NA-185, DG Khan-LL, PP-203 SAHIWAL-VL, NA-96 FA-II, DG Khan-LL, PP-203 Sahiwal-VL, NA-96 F Faisalabad-II, NA-104 Faisalabad-X and PP-98 Faisalabad-L, the survey will take place on October 5.
The ruling allies, the Pakistan-Nawaz Muslim League (PML-N) and the Peoples Party of Pakistan (PPP), had announced that they will jointly play the next partial elections throughout the country.
According to a statement issued after the meeting of the PTI Political Committee on Wednesday, the party said it considered the victims of the disqualified members of political revenge and has praised their “sacrifices.”

The statement also expressed strong concerns about the daily audiences of the case of Toshakhana held in the Adiala prison.
The party said such procedures are a “violation of basic rights” and could undermine the “justice system.”
He stressed that daily audiences not only interrupt legal representation but also exert unnecessary pressure on the accused.
In addition, the Committee announced that, on the instruction of the founding president of PTI, the party renounces the Public Accounts Committee of the National Assembly (PAC), Permanent Committees and Presidents.
However, the main committee of the PTI has decided that the party will play partial elections in the Na-129 Circumscription of Lahore, which was vacant after the death of Hammad Azhar’s father, Mian Azhar.
The PTI political committee thanked its founding president Imran Khan for showing a complete confidence in the Committee and delivering future political decisions to the body for greater consultation and planning of strategies.
Meanwhile, multiple PTI MNA have presented their resignations of several parliamentary committees.
Faisal Amin Khan, brother of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s prime minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, resigned from all the permanent committees of the National Assembly.
He resigned from the Permanent Committee of Economic Affairs, the Permanent Committee of National Security of Food Security and the Parliamentary Task Force on the SDGs. His resignation was formally presented to Chief Whip Amir Dogar.
Another PTI MNA, Asif Khan, resigned from the permanent committees of NA and sent his resignation to the president of Na Ayaz Sadiq.
