PTI condemns Fawad’s attack to Shoaib Shaheen

Islamabad:

The political committee of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) has strongly condemned the physical assault of Fawad Chaudhry to the leader of the Shoaib Shaheen party out of Adiala Jail, qualifying it as a “unpaved and shameful act” that reflects a preference by gross force about reason and logic.

In a strongly written statement, the party described the attack as an expression of “primary instincts on reason and logic.”

In addition, he said that this was not the first time that Fawad had resorted to force and intimidation to resolve the scores, with several similar incidents linked to their past behavior.

The statement also accused Fawad of resorting to an abusive language to undermine political opponents, describing him as a reflection of his usual vulgarity and lack of decorum.

He condemned his actions as “criminal” and a “slap on PTI’s face”, instead of only an act of aggression against Shaheen alone.

The committee described Fawad as a “cowardly, fugitive and political traitor” that had “stabbed PTI’s political struggle for constitutional restoration, the rule of law and democracy in the back before sneaking through the rear door.”

The statement also denounced its continuing “hypocrisy”, calling her a defining feature of her character.

According to the party, Fawad’s outburst was promoted by frustration by PTI’s decision to cut all the ties with him in the instructions of the founder of the Imran Khan party.

The leadership reiterated that Fawad had no authority to present himself as a representative of PTI in any forum.

Taking a serious notification of the incident, PTI’s political committee denounced Chaudhry’s “odious behavior in the strongest possible terms.” He praised Shoaib Shaheen for prioritizing patience and restriction on reprisals, reaffirming the unwavering support of the party for him.
