In response to the offer of negotiations of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) Shibli Faraz has rejected the suggestion of forming a camera committee, stating that it is not an effective approach, he reported Thursday Express News.
Faraz criticized the position of the prime minister, saying that the real problem lies in the government’s attitude towards other political parties. “The proposal for a Chamber Committee is not a viable solution. If the government took the conversations seriously, a committee would have already formed,” he said.
The senator reiterated PTI’s demand for a judicial commission, emphasizing that such an agency would inspire public trust. “We are asking for a judicial commission because people have confidence in it. The suggestion of the Chamber Committee is not appropriate,” he added.
He clarified that PTI’s call for negotiations aimed at relieving the ongoing political instability in the country. “We agreed to speak to help solve the political crisis and stabilize the country,” he said.
The PTI leader also emphasized that for any negotiation to be successful, the sincerity and commitment of the government with the process are essential. “For issues to be completed, the government must demonstrate goodwill,” he said.
The main approach of PTI, according to Faraz, remains in the law and justice, which are committed to pursue, regardless of the political challenges they face.
Previously, Prime Minister Shehbaz had expressed his willingness to resume conversations with Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) and proposed the formation of a parliamentary committee to address the in progress.
At a federal cabinet meeting, he recalled the previous conversations with PTI, which began with the formation of a committee after PTI’s offer.
He mentioned that the PTI had submitted written lawsuits through the speaker, which was expected that the Government Committee would respond in writing. However, the meeting scheduled on January 28 was canceled by PTI.
