Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) accused the government of placing former Prime Minister Imran Khan in solitary confinement in Adiala’s prison, claiming that he is being held in the cell of the death of the prison.

The Secretary of Central Information of the party, Sheikh Waqas, made the claims during a press conference, stating that Imran Khan had been denied any visitor, including political and family allies, said Express News.

Sheikh Waqas emphasized that, according to the law, Imran Khan is entitled to meetings with his legal advisor and family.

However, he claimed that even these rights were being blocked. In addition, he said that, despite a judicial ruling that allowed six people to meet with Khan, the authorities had not allowed the meetings to take place.

“The orders of the courts are being ignored. Even Imran Khan’s wife has denied meetings with him twice, and no explanation is being given, ”said Waqas.

“We have presented a request for contempt of the court. To meet Imran Khan, one has to approach the Court, but even after the request for contempt, meetings are not allowed. Political associates are being arrested, and even his family is not allowed to meet him. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s prime minister is also being denied for meeting with him.”

Sheikh Waqas said that with so many cases against Imran Khan, how will he consult with his lawyers? Judicial orders are being ignored.

Sheikh Waqas also declared that despite judicial orders, Imran Khan is not allowed to meet his children, nor is he allowed to sign the power of lawyer documents. These actions reveal the government’s mentality. Such government actions are forcing us to protest.

PTI’s central information secretary said that Imran Khan’s resolution is strong and cannot break.

He also noted that Imran Khan’s medical consultations with his personal doctor have been denied, raising concerns about their well -being.

In addition, PTI leaders have expressed the frustration that Imran Khan’s books and newspapers would have held prison authorities.

They questioned how Imran Khan could consult with the lawyers regarding their numerous cases when access to legal documents or communication was not allowed.

Waqas continued to criticize the government’s approach to Ramadan’s help package, highlighting the contrast between the assistance offered by the previous PTI government and the limited support of the current administration.

Criticizing the Ramadan’s package of the Federal Government, he mentioned that during the mandate of PTI, the Ehsaas program offered RS. 15,000 per family.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s government is giving RS. 10,000 per family, while, despite high inflation, the federal government only offers RS. 5,000 per family in his Ramadan package. He urged the Federal Government to spend money on the public instead of personal advertising. The misuse of authority should be avoided as a form of political bribery.
