PTI warns the government against the repression of February 8


Islamabad:

The PTI warned on Tuesday the ruling coalition led by PML-N to refrain from using force against the planned peaceful protests and demonstrations of the party on February 8 to commemorate the first anniversary of “the mother of all manipulated surveys.”

Unlike the previous occasions when the leadership of the party did not have a clear plan and abandoned the party workers, the leadership of the party said that this time it has achieved a well -thought strategy to mobilize a great participation of supporters against what calls the Theft of surveys of February 2024.

PTI’s Central Information Secretary, Sheikh Waqas Akram “warned the Government that it did not resort to the large amount and fascism once again”, promising that PTI would hold his public meetings and demonstrations according to the time established because it was his democratic and constitutional right .

The party spokesman said that the nation was preparing for a historical and record peaceful protest on February 8 throughout the country to mark the alleged robbery of mandate in the last general elections. “PTI hit a well thought out strategy to mobilize a massive participation of followers,” Akram said in a statement.

The PTI statement has arrived immediately after the warning of the Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, a strict action PTI if he goes on with his protest planned on February 8 that coincides with the Champions Trophy party scheduled in Lahore.

PTI waiting for an answer

Meanwhile, the PTI has constituted a committee of three members to investigate parliamentarians who have violated the discipline of the party, particularly in relation to the question of the 26th amendment.

The Committee will listen to cases against those MNA that have already issued display causes.
