Senator Senator Shibli Faraz of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) has announced that the party, together with the opposition alliance, will protest against the government after Eidul Fitr.
At a media conference outside the Court of Peshawar, Shibli Faraz declared that the alliance with the opposition is already in process and that the negotiations will be concluded in the next few days. “After EID, we will all join to protest against this government,” he said.
Shibli Faraz criticized the one -year mandate of the government, calling him the “darkest period in the history of Pakistan.”
He pointed out that the Government approved several laws, including the PCA law and the 26th amendment, not through democracy but through the use of force.
“Nothing has been achieved except waste billions of rupees in ads,” he added.
The PTI leader also condemned the expansion of the federal cabinet, claiming that it was a reward for the ‘tours’ and the ‘criminals’. In addition, he declared that the country is ‘drowning in debt, and inflation is rising.’
Shibli Faraz also expressed concern about the growing terrorism in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan and the ongoing protests in Sindh with respect to water rights.
“Our alliance is with the opposition, and in the next few days, our affairs will be resolved with them,” he said. “After Eid, we will go to the streets together against the government.”
He also pointed out the disturbing situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where terrorists have reached areas like Bannu, and praised Ali Amin Gandapur of PTI for their efforts to maintain control in the region.
Shibli Faraz mentioned that rear door communications sometimes resume, but often fail, and emphasized that PTI is preparing for protests after EID.
Meanwhile, in the Superior Court of Peshawar, a hearing for PTI Shibli Faraz senator took place and others with respect to his cases. The court extended its protection bond, while its lawyer argued that they were looking for details of the case for new measures.
The Prosecutor’s Office, represented by the NAB, presented its report, but the defense lawyers requested that it review it. The court instructed the petitioners to check the report before the next hearing.
Previously, efforts to forge a great opposition alliance against the coalition government led by PML-N remain stagnant when Chief Jui-F Maulana Fazlur Rehman has not yet received some guarantees that seeks the PTI, arose on Sunday.
PTI’s key leaders, while admitting that the Chief of Jui-F has not yet completely committed to an opposition alliance with the PTI, since it seeks clarity about the chain of command of the party in decision making, as well as who will lead the multiparty opposition alliance if the protests against the government begin.
With the founder of PTI Imran Khan in jail, La Maulana has asked the Imran party to specify whether Khan himself will make decisions or if a designated representative will have a complete authority.
