PTI will launch the anti-GOVT unit after Ramazan

Rawalpindi:

Pakistan’s lawyer Tehreeke-E-Insaf (PTI) Faisal Chaudhry has declared that former founding president of the former prime minister and the Imran Khan party has ordered his party to launch a large-scale movement against the government after the sacred month of Ramazan.

Chaudhry said PTI Asad Qaiser and Omar Ayub leaders have been assigned for this purpose. He said that Imran has asked to establish contacts with the leader of the Balochjehti Committee (Byc) Mahrang Baloch, as well as to trust opposition parties.

Speaking to the media outside the Adiala prison, Faisal Chaudhry said the founder of PTI has instructed his party to launch a large -scale movement against the government after Ramazan.

Last December, Imran had threatened to begin a movement of civil disobedience nationwide after government repression against their supporters that resulted in several deaths.

The former prime minister demanded that a judicial investigation be carried out in the death of at least 12 of his supporters during a repression of the government of November 26 about what he called the “peaceful” protesters of PTI in Islamabad.

In addition, he asked for an investigation into the “police attacks” against the workers of his party during national protests in May 2023, which resulted in several deaths, and sought the release of hundreds of workers from his party arrested during anti -government protests.

Later, the Government established a negotiation committee to interact with PTI and consider Imran’s demands. Despite holding several meetings, both negotiation panels did not reach an agreement.

When reflecting on the negotiations, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the Government had accepted PTI’s proposal, formed a committee and began conversations through the president of the National Assembly. The Committee had asked PTI to file its demands in writing and the government agreed to provide a written response. However, said Prime Minister, PTI withdrew from the meeting scheduled on January 28.

Meanwhile, the spokesman of the PTI negotiation committee, Sahibzada Hamid Raza, published a statement about X, stating that the opposition committee was formally dissolved in line with the instructions of the founder of the party.

Raza added that the committee became a coordination committee, which would strive to make a great opposition alliance against the ruling alliance.

Speaking to the media, Faisal Chaudhry emphasized that the “open letters” presented by the Chief of the Army highlighted facts that the establishment must consider. In addition, he revealed that Sanoullah Masti Khel has been included in the Political Committee.

When commenting on the current legal procedures, he said that another audience of the GHQ case took place, part of what he called a series of false cases.

He said that people who left PTI have not faced charges related to May 9. He also criticized the “controlled judgments” that are carried out within the Adiala prison, where “selective access” is granted to lawyers and journalists.

Reiterating his position, the founder of PTI emphasized the need to address the growing terrorism in the country and condemned the “suppression of the judiciary,” said Chaudhry.

He argued that independent media and the Judiciary are “being reversed”, while Internet closures are discouraging foreign investment.
