Rawalpindi:
Pakistan’s boss pattern Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, said Wednesday that candidates would not be sent in the seats that remain vacancies by disqualified members of the party, saying that the disqualifications were carried out through “illegal means.”
This was revealed by Imran’s sister, Aleema Khan, who spoke with the media outside the Adiala prison. She said her sister Uzma Khan was allowed to meet Imran and his wife Bushra Bibi.
Aleem cited Imran saying that he was satisfied with public participation during the protests of August 5 despite what he described as “state oppression and intimidation.” “He expressed his gratitude to people to stand in front of injustice,” he added, noting that Imran was particularly encouraged by the manifestations made in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab.
According to the reports, the PTI chief pattern commented that the previous dictators did not turn to the type of oppression that is seen today, drawing a parallel with General Yahya Khan. “Even Yahya divided the country for power, and today the media have been silenced,” Aleem said quoting Imran. “Freedom always demands sacrifice.”
Aleem said that the former prime minister has granted a new call for protest for August 14, urging the public to ascend for the “true freedom” and the “rule of law”, and added that Imran urged his leadership of his party to not fear arrests or imprisonment.
Imran also sent a message to the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government, demanding the end of ongoing security operations in tribal districts.
“The operation is being carried out to generate resentment against PTI,” Aleem told Imran, adding that problems must be solved through Jirgas.
If Ali Amin Gandapur cannot stop the operation, then he should think what should be done, Imran said as his sister declared.
The PTI chief pattern also said that candidates would not be sent in the seats that are vacant by disqualified members of the party, noting that the disqualifications were carried out through “illegal means.”
