PTI will transfer the Court against the Adiala authorities

Peshawar:

The PTI will move a request to contempt court against the administration of the Adiala prison for violating an order of the Superior Court of Islamabad (IHC), allowing former Prime Minister imprisoned Imran Khan to meet with visitors twice per week.

PTI’s central information secretary, Sheikh Waqas Akram, made this announcement on Saturday at a press conference in the provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

“The courts must be closed if they could not implement their orders,” added the PTI leader.

Last week, on March 24, a larger bank of three members of the IHC resigned the biweekly meeting with Visitors in Adiala Jail, but also imposed a prohibition of visitors to talk to the media after such meetings.

The bank, led by the interim president of Justice Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar and including Judge Arbab Muhammad Tahir and Judge Muhammad Azam Khan, said that only those people could meet the founder of PTI whose names were provided by Imran coordinator, Salman Akram Raja.

However, on March 27, the administration of the famous Rawalpindi prison, where Imran Khan was arrested since September 2023, did not allow PTI leaders to meet the founder of the party.

According to Sheqas Akram sheikh, the PTI will move a request for contempt against prison administration after Eidul Fitr. “Judicial orders are being ignored. This impunity must end,” he added.

Akram said the PTI would not go alone, but would prefer to organize protests after Eidul Fitr under the auspices of an opposition opposition parties alliance of opposition elaboration: Tehrek Tahaffuz-E-in-E-Pakistan.

The PTI leader also rejected all the rumors about the formation of a forward block in the former ruling party.

Speaking with reference to the inclusion of Jui-F of Mauna Fazlur Rehman in the Alliance, Akram said there has been a lot of acrimony between the PTI and the JUI-F in the past.

“However, it is a great step that the two parts now sit together.”

Apparently, referring to Jui-F’s Friday statement against KP’s prime minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, who belongs to PTI, Akram said such exchange of statements was not a big problem.

The JUI-F accused Gandapur on Friday to try to sabotage attempts to form a great opposition alliance against the ruling coalition, stating that despite the clear instructions of PTI’s founder, Imran Khan, Gandapur had been issuing statements against the Chief of Jui-F.

“Gandapur has been continuously damn for the head of Jui-F, Maulana Fazlur Rehman. This criticism will only benefit the government and anti-democratic force,” said Jui-F spokesman Aslam Ghauri, in a statement.

Sheikh Waqas Akram said many PTI workers have been imprisoned during the last two years. “Our mandate was stolen; we are not allowed to participate in political activities and the companies of several PTI leaders and workers have been closed,” he said.

He complained that a former president of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Qazi Fareez Isa, took his electoral symbol. He questioned why the Senate elections in the KP have not yet been held. “The nation will never forgive you for this,” he added.
