The president of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI), the lawyer Gohar Ali Khan, categorically denied that any agreement on the founding president of the Imran Khan party prison has been reached, saying that political problems must be solved through the dialogue instead of Clandestine’s pacts.
Speaking outside the house of Parliament, Gohar emphasized that “no agreement has been made” with any quarter about the case of Imran, and added that all negotiations must remain confidential and constitutional.
When asked about the reports that Imran had given his wink to conversations with the government, Gohar said he had transmitted the invitation of the Prime Minister, but did not reveal details of his discussion in the Adiala jail.
He insisted that genuine progress in national politics depended on discretion and sincerity, warning against media sensationalism. “Political issues must be resolved through conversations,” he said.
This statement continues to the recent appeal of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for an integral dialogue with opposition parties, which is reported that Imran welcomed in principle.
Previously, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s prime minister Ali Amin Gandapur said that Pakistan’s founder Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, agreed to participate in the political dialogue.
“Those who turn this into an ego issue are damaging Pakistan. We must overcome personal interests and think about national interest,” Gandapur said while talking to journalists in Peshawar. “Imran Khan has agreed to negotiations and has clearly said that he is ready to talk about Pakistan’s improvement,” he added.
The CM also approached the ongoing legal efforts for the launch of Imran. “The requests are underway for the release of Imran Khan,” he said, adding: “As executive director of a province, I have a court order that allows me to know it weekly. These meetings are crucial for consultation, especially with the provincial budget that is approaching.”
