The Punjab government has announced that summer vacations in all schools in the province will begin on May 28, 2025.
According to a statement issued by the Minister of Education of Punjab, Rana Sikandar Hayat, the decision has been made in view of the severe heat wave in progress.
In addition to vacation schedule, reviewed school times have also been announced to protect students from extreme heat waves. All schools will now operate from 7:30 am to 11:30 am until summer vacations begin.

“The new school times will be from 7:30 am to 11:30 am,” Rana Hayat announced in X. “School holidays will begin from May 28 (the 28 will be a vacation).”
Previously, the Department of Meteorology of Pakistan (PMD) has issued a new advice warning of an ongoing heat wave in several regions of the country.
According to the notice, temperatures are expected to increase 4 to 6 degrees Celsius above normal levels in the next few days. The PMD has urged the public to take the necessary precautions, particularly during peak in the afternoon, to avoid heat -related diseases.
