Punjab Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz declared an emergency state throughout the province and ordered the closure of all educational institutions after a series of attacks by Indian missiles that attacked civil areas, which caused a rapid military response from Pakistan.
“All the leaves of the doctors and the medical staff have been canceled, and the civil defense personnel have been withdrawn to the service,” Maryam announced at an emergency conference, urging hospitals and rescue services to remain on the maximum alert.
The announcement occurred after Pakistan’s army confirmed that the Indian forces had launched air attacks in five places inside Pakistan, including Bahawalpur, Kotli, Muzaffrabad, Bagh and Muridke.
According to the general director of Public Relations between Services (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, the attacks attacked civil areas and installed military facilities.
In a rapid counteroffensive, the armed forces of Pakistan launched missile attacks that, according to the reports, destroyed a headquarters of the Indian Brigade and a military position in the Dudhnial sector along the control line (LOC). The Pakistan Air Force also knocked down three Indian aircraft, security sources confronted.
Contenting the Indian aggression, CM Maryam declared: “People are shoulder shoulder with the Pakistan army. India may have begun this, but we will end up,” expressing firm support for the military’s response.
While reaffirming Pakistan’s desire for peace, he warned that the country would not accept any commitment to its sovereignty. “We are looking for peace, but with dignity. If war is imposed, the entire nation will join as a single force,” he added.
In response to the growing crisis, the CM instructed the public to remain inside and avoid unnecessary trips. He urged citizens to trust only official sources of information and inform any injury or emergency to hospitals or near rescue services.
The authorities, including rescue 1122, district administrations and civil defense departments, have been placed on maximum alert such as the province that the masters for potential potentials more climbing.
