Punjab Govt to update Lahore, Pindi stations


LAHORE:

Railroad Minister Muhammad Hanif Abbasi announced Wednesday that the Punjab government had formally adopted the Lahore and Rawalpindi railway stations with the aim of updating them to international standards.

According to the agreement, modern facilities that include mechanical stairs, contemporary baths, waiting areas and other comforts would be introduced.

In statements to the media, Abbasi highlighted the government’s commitment to significantly improve the rail system for the end of the current year in collaboration with the Public Relations Administration.
