Punjab Minister of Information, Azma Bokhari, announced on Saturday two important infrastructure projects: the launch of a provincial airline called Air Punjab and the first bullet train from Pakistan from Lahore to Rawalpindi, while abruptly criticizing the leadership of India by tensions in Cashmira.
Speaking at a press conference at Lahore, Bokhari described the airline and high -speed railroad as “historical initiatives” by a provincial government.
“Air Punjab will initially lease four airplanes and operate nationwide. Within a year, we hope to acquire an international air license,” he said.
He also announced a bullet train project between Lahore and Rawalpindi, stating that the route will cover the distance in just 2 hours and 20 minutes. Additional routes are also planned throughout the province.
“This is the first time in the history of Pakistan that a provincial government is launching its own network of plane and bullet trains,” Bokhari said. He added a glass train between Rawalpindi and Murree is in process.
As for the relations between India, Pakistan, Bokhari condemned the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of following “Israeli tactics” in Kashmir and try to destabilize the region through false flag operations.
Referring to a recent incident in the Pahalgam area of Cashmiro administered by India, rejected the Indian accusations of Pakistani participation and called it a narrative planned by New Delhi.
“Modi is trying to turn Keza into another Gaza. India is no longer a democracy, it has become the world’s largest murder field for Muslims and minorities,” he said.
Bokhari recalled the terrorist attack of Jaffar Express in Pakistan, stating that India had never condemned the incident despite clear evidence. She said that Pakistan’s army had quickly neutralized the attackers and rescued the hostages.
Secting Indian water threats, Bokhari warned that any attempt in India to drown the Pakistan water supply under the swing of the Indo’s waters would find severe reprisals.
“The Indo Water Treaty is not a tea position to modify. Pakistan will respond to the first brick of any stone with stone,” he warned.
She described Modi as a “global terrorist” and said that every time he comes to power, global peace deteriorates.
“The wars are not won by weapons, but by the spirit of sacrifice. If the State declares the jihad, each Pakistani becomes a soldier,” he said.
The minister concluded asking for national unity and preparation against Indian aggression, remembering that Pakistan had decisively responded in the past, including nuclear tests in 1998 after the provocations of India.
