Punjab to provide 100,000 electric bicycles to students

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced the distribution of 100,000 electric bicycles (e-bikes) to students across the province.

At a ceremony at FAST University Islamabad, he highlighted the importance of empowering youth and promoting sustainable transportation.

During his speech, he urged the students to pledge to serve Pakistan and remain dedicated to the country, emphasizing that they should not leave Pakistan or harm it.

The Chief Minister also announced an increase in the Honhar Scholarship amount, raising it from Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000 per year.

Additionally, Maryam Nawaz revealed plans to provide international scholarships to students, supporting their higher education at world-renowned institutions.

The initiative aims to make higher education accessible to more students from diverse backgrounds in Punjab.

As part of her efforts to support the youth, the Chief Minister launched the Honhar scholarship program for 2,570 students of Rawalpindi Division.

These scholarships will support students from various disciplines, helping them pursue an education without financial limitations.

On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif announced the establishment of an education city in Lahore, with the aim of attracting the world’s best universities to set up campuses.

This ambitious initiative is part of their broader vision to improve educational opportunities in the province and foster international collaborations.
