Washington: The Quads group of the United States, India, Japan and Australia on Tuesday asked that the perpetrators of the Pahalgam attack who killed 26 tourists in Indians illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (Iiojk) to be taken to justice without delay.
The April 22 attack caused strong fighting between Pakistan with nuclear and Indian weapons in the last escalation of a decades of decades, since India blamed Pakistan without offering any evidence.
Pakistan denied responsibility while asking for a neutral investigation into the deadly attack.
The United States Department of State issued a joint statement of the foreign ministers of the group, who met in Washington, but was not to name Pakistan or blame Islamabad.
“The Quad unequivocally condemns all acts of terrorism and violent extremism in all its forms and manifestations, including cross -border terrorism,” the ministers said in the statement.
They asked all the members of the United Nations that actively cooperate with “all relevant authorities” to deliver justice to the “perpetrators, organizers and financial of this rebukeful act”, without any delay.
Last month, Pakistan and India participated in the military confrontation caused by the Pahalgam attack in April in Iiojk.
In response to Indian aggression, the Armed Forces of Pakistan launched a large-scale military action, called “Bunyan-Mou-Marshus Operation”, and addressed several Indian military objectives in multiple regions.
Pakistan knocked down his six combat planes, including three raffles and dozens of drones. After at least 87 hours, the war between the two nations with nuclear weapons ended on May 10 with a high -fire agreement negotiated by the United States.
The president of the United States, the president of the United States, Donald Trump, announced the high fire on social networks after Washington had conversations with both parties, but India has deferred with Trump’s claims that resulted from his intervention and threats to cut commercial conversations.
However, Pakistan has recognized Trump’s efforts and formally recommended it for the Nobel Peace Prize 2026, citing his role in the deactivity of tensions between Pakistan and India last month.
