Queen Camilla has shown her full support for King Charles as she remains resolute about a major health decision, but behind the scenes, it’s a different story.
On Friday, the monarch addressed the nation to lift spirits and shared the “good news” that the frequency of his treatment can be reduced. He credited his medical team, which he called the “community of care,” for helping him on his cancer journey.
Buckingham Palace shared how pleased the monarch was at the positive reception of the news. Despite this, a report from Sunday weather claims that Camilla wanted the diagnosis to be kept private so that Charles could be treated “quietly.”
The update on Charles’ cancer treatment comes almost two years after his diagnosis. The Palace officially made the announcement in February 2024, leaving the world in shock.
Although time has shown that Camilla has changed her mind on the matter. The source cited by the outlet suggests that “they both now unequivocally think that being so open has been enormously positive.”
It is not the first time that Camilla’s disapproval of her husband has been exposed. Reports had shared that the Queen Consort had constant concern for her husband as he continued to take on royal duties and commitments.
The King had refused to delay the don and Camilla commented that his recovery would be faster if he “behaved well” referring to the monarch’s workload.
