Queen Camilla has just published a statement full of emotion and memories after the death of one of her close friends, Dame Jilly Cooper.
The statement has been shared with the Instagram account of the royal family and includes a black and white image of the author, under the words: “I was very sad to know about Dame Jilly’s death last night.”
The Queen’s personal message also included words of praise and said: “Very few writers can be a legend in her own life, but Jilly was one, creating a completely new genre of literature and doing it through a career that covered more than five decades.”
“In person, she was a wonderfully ingenious and compassionate friend for me and many, and it was a pleasure to see her only a few weeks ago at the Festival of the Reading Room of My Queen, where I was always a star of the show,” he said even.
As a result, “I join my husband to the king to send our thoughts and sympathies to his whole family,” he said in his final words. “And that she is full of men impossiblely handsome and devout dogs. Camilla R.”
For not versed, the author died on Sunday, after suffering a fall.
Since the news of his death came out, even his agent, Felicity Blunt, has spoken and said: “The privilege of my career has been to work with a woman who has defined culture, writing and conversation since it was first published more than fifty years ago.”
“You would not expect that the books categorized as Bonkbusters have resisted so emphatically the test of time, but Jilly wrote sharply and insight on all things: class, sex, marriage, rivalry, pain and fertility.”
As well as their children, Felix and Emily, who, according to Sky News Australia I said: “Mom was the bright light in all our lives. His love for his whole family and friends did not know limits.”
