Qureshi promises to lead the protest against the channels from jail

LAHORE:

The senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI), Shah Mehmood Qureshi, criticized the leadership of his own party for the disorder in their ranks, saying that those party leaders, who were imprisoned when they saw the leadership outside the fingers.

Talking to the media after learning of a case in relation to the violence of May 9, 2023, said that the external leadership was not doing anything, compared to what I was doing from inside the prison. He said he would lead a protest against the Indo channels in UMRKOT on April 14 and 15 from inside the jail.

On Tuesday, Qureshi had asked the leadership of the party to concentrate on a significant action for those imprisoned, instead of distracted by the internal game and guilt. He repeated his statement on Wednesday, saying that those who had been in jail were watching the leadership of the PTI out of jail.

“Personally, I appeal to keep the unity between them and show decency, while differing from each other. They are injured in jail when they see them, pointing to the fingers against another,” he said.

In his talk in the media, Qureshi accused the Popular Party of Pakistan (PPP) of “betraying the people of Sindh” on the issue of channels. “PPP tears are noticing but crocodile tears. I preferred to keep the mother when Irsa [Indus River System Authority] Certificate issued by water availability, “he accused.

Previously, Qureshi appeared in the ATC in six cases related to the violence of May 9. The Court postponed the procedures of its bail after arrest until Thursday (today).
