A new rainy period and racing winds are expected to generate relief in parts of Pakistan as of Wednesday, after a stretch of intense heat.
According to the Department of Meteorology of Pakistan, the weather system will enter the country on May 28, probably affecting the areas of northern Pakistan.
On Thursday a change in the weather is anticipated, with scattered rain and strong winds forecast in several areas.
In Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP), most districts will remain dry and warm, although they are possible showers and storms isolated in areas that include chitral, swat, dir, Malakand, Shangla, Kurram, Orakzai, Bajaur, Khyber and Wazirist of the North.
Cloudy skies and thunderstorms are also forecast for Mansehra, Abbottabad, Batagram, Tor Ghar, Lakki Marwat, Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Hagu, Mardan, Charsadda and Swabi. They are probably dust and hail storms on the plains.

The severe thunderstorms that extend through Punjab have killed at least 13 people and have hironed another 92, according to an initial damage assessment issued by the Provincial Authority of Disaster Management (PDMA) on Saturday.
Last week, the powerful storm system caused multiple incidents related to climate throughout the province. Deaths were reported in several districts, including Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib and Sialkot, confirmed the PDMA.
The majority of the victims occurred due to the collapse of ruins or people who are present in insecure places during the storm, the agency said. Several mud brick houses and poorly built suffered significant damage.
Meanwhile, the current heat wave continues to affect large parts of Pakistan, with Sindh facing some of the most extreme temperatures this week.
The Department of Meteorology of Pakistan (PMD) has predicted burning and dry conditions throughout the province for at least the next two days. Temperatures are expected to reach 46 ° C in cities like Mithi and Badin, while Jacobabad and Dhalbandin can reach up to 45 ° C.
In other parts of the country, the heat wave is also affecting, particularly through the plains of Punjab and Baluchistan.
