The weather department predicts a warm and humid climate for Karachi over the next 24 hours, with maximum temperatures that are expected to range between 35 ° C and 37 ° C.
According to the department, the current humidity level is 43%, with dry northwest winds that blow at a speed of 8 kilometers per hour. The minimum temperature recorded during the last 24 hours was 28 ° C.
Meanwhile, Karachi experienced a brief respite of the heat wave conditions on Monday morning, since the strong winds and the clouds of dust extended through several parts of the city, followed by light rains in some areas. In the village of Bhai Khan Babbar, the intense winds caused a fire that destroyed more than a dozen mud houses. Fire extinction services were late, with the villagers who managed to control the fire with minimal external aid.
The Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (Hesco) confirmed that 79 grid feeders stumbled during the storm, interrupting electricity in Hyderabad. Water supply interruptions were also reported in several neighborhoods.
