The Sacred Month of Ramadan has officially begun in Pakistan, with the first taraweeh (night sentences) held after Isha’s sentences.
Almost 1.9 billion Muslims worldwide began to observe the Ramadan this weekend, the sacred month marked by the fasting and prayers of the dawn to those. Ramadan is sacred to Muslims, since tradition argues that the sacred Quran was revealed to the prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) during this month.

President, PM greet the nation upon the arrival of Ramadan
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have extended their sincere greetings to the nation on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
In his message, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended sincere greetings to Muslims in Pakistan and worldwide at the beginning of Ramadan.
“As the blessed month of Ramadan begins, I extend my sincere greetings to Muslims in Pakistan and worldwide. This sacred month is a moment of reflection, self -discipline and spiritual renewal, reminding us of the values of compassion, patience and unity, ”he said.
In addition, he emphasized: “Ramadan gives us the opportunity to strengthen our faith, seek forgiveness and show kindness to those in need. Fasting is not just about to refrain from food and drink, but it is about humiliation of the ego and restrict greed. It is an act of submission, reminding us that, although we are weak, Allah Swt is the Almighty. ”
The prime minister also reminded the nation: “It is a month of immense blessings, reminding us that we are grateful for the mercy of Allah and that they hug the true spirit of empathy and generosity while recognizing our responsibility to take care of the least fortunate.”
“I pray to Allah Almighty to accept our fasts, prayers and good works and to bless Pakistan with progress and prosperity. That this Ramadan is a source of immense blessings and guidance for all of us, ”he added.
Similarly, President Asif Ali Zardari transmitted his greetings and urged the nation to participate in charity and alms during the holy month.
He emphasized: “We must go beyond our means to support the poor. These principles play a vital role in the construction of a strong, progressive and compassionate society. In doing so, we will meet the true objectives of Ramadan and achieve his rewards. “
President Zardari also extended congratulations to the nation and the Muslim Ummah, pointing out: “Ramadan is a month of mercy, forgiveness and salvation. He teaches us self-purification, patience, perseverance, compassion, equality and unity. This Sacred month offers an excellent opportunity to achieve piety, sincerity and closeness to Allah Almighty. “
He urged the public to rise above personal interests and support the less fortunate, stating: “We meet the needs of the poor and destitute and promote the spirit of sacrifice and generosity in society.”
The president concluded his message praying to Allah Almighty to give everyone the ability to benefit from the blessings of Ramadan, embody patience and piety, and contribute to the well -being of the Muslim Ummah.
