Rangers personnel suspended by the teacher of Ku Afaq ahmed

Karachi: The commander of the Rangers sector, Pakistan Sindh, has suspended the staff involved in misconduct with the professor of the University of Karachi, Dr. Afaq Ahmed, the body of teachers of the university team said Thursday on Thursday.

The statement was issued by the Society of Teachers of the University of Karachi (KUTS) after a session at the Personnel Club today after an official of the Rangers slapped an educator three days ago when he asked the latter to not burn garbage outside his residence in the University personnel colony.

As a result of the assault, the teacher’s glasses broke and suffered an injury in his eye.

A day ago, the Association of Teachers demanded a fair and impartial investigation into the incident and requested an appropriate action against those responsible.

Dr. Ahmed detailed the incident in today’s session. The matter was immediately called to the attention of KU’s vice chancellor, who said the problem would be resolved immediately, according to the statement.

The KU VC and the president of Kuts visited the professor at their residence to express solidarity.

The Kuts confirmed that the high Rangers officials also met Dr. Ahmed and condemned the incident.

The commander of the Rangers sector, who met with the educator, ordered the suspension of the official manager, initiating disciplinary procedures.

They expressed their regret and assured that strict measures would be taken against the personnel involved.

Dr. Ahmed expressed full satisfaction and confidence in the steps taken by the authorities so far, the Kuts said.

The educator expressed his gratitude to VC Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi, the president of Kuts, Dr. Mohsin Ali and Secretary Dr. Maroof Bin Rauf, and transmitted total satisfaction and confidence in the actions taken.

All the participants of the meeting appreciated the steps taken by the Vice Chancellor, the commander of the Rangers sector and other senior officials.
