It may be wise for Tyler Loop to stay off social media for a while.
Loop had a chance to clinch the AFC North title for the Baltimore Ravens and clinch their playoff berth when he lined up for a 44-yard field goal attempt Sunday night. But the rookie’s kick went wide just as time expired, sending the Pittsburgh Steelers to the playoffs and ending the Ravens’ season on a heartbreaking note.
As is typical these days, fans flooded social media to take shots at the kicker, particularly in a personal Instagram post.

The post pinned by Loop on Instagram is a collaborative post of him and his fiancée, Julia, announcing their engagement. Originally published on March 5, the post skyrocketed to more than 12,000 comments, most of which came from the Loop failure.
One comment, with more than 8,000 likes, says: “1 job.”
Another comment is a GIF of Justin Tucker shrugging his shoulders. Tucker, who has the best field goal percentage in NFL history, was fired by the Ravens before the season began following sexual harassment allegations.
One comment also says: “Tell him to put his head down.”
“Are you serious mate?” wrote another fan.
One more added: “Lamar gave you field position and you finish the game like that? You literally kicked the postseason right into the trash…you suck.”

There was some support in the comments.
“You are all a bunch of criminal haters in the comments. [for real]”wrote one supportive user.
Another simply added: “How cool brother.”
Since then, comments on the post have been limited.
Loop was selected by the Ravens in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft to replace Tucker. Loop said he would rely on his faith to get him through the tough times.
“Faith is a big part of my life,” he said shortly after getting lost. “It’s very fortunate to be here, even to be back; just being in Baltimore with this team has been the greatest blessing of my life and I’m very grateful for it.”

It was another heartbreak for the Ravens, who were eliminated last year after Mark Andrews missed the two-point conversion. The year before, Zay Flowers fumbled what would have been a huge touchdown in the AFC championship game at the 1-yard line.
