Yesterday, a powerful thunderstorm accompanied by torrential rain extended by Islamabad, significantly cooling the Federal Capital and bringing a refreshing change to the weather.
According to Express News, the storm was marked by strong winds and heavy rains, breaking the intense heat spell that had grabbed the city. The thick dark clouds covered the sky, sinking the city in the near dark in the middle of the day, creating an atmosphere that reminds of the night.

In addition, the energy supply was interrupted in multiple cities of Punjab on Thursday after heavy rains and strong winds caused generalized trips, authorities said.
In Lahore, the wind bursts that reached up to 100 km/h were followed by showers that led to more than 565 energy feeders to stumble, according to energy distribution authorities.
In Faisalabad, 150 feeders were affected by the downpour, while Islamabad saw a significant interruption, although officials reported that more than 80% of the power had been restored since then.
The rain also hit several areas, including Gujranwala, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Kamoke, Hafizabad, Sialkot and Wazirabad. Showers were also reported in Chakwal, Jhelum and Bahawalnagar.
In Mianwali, intense rain and a lot of storms were recorded. In Sargodha, a wall of the house collapsed due to the storm, killing a person and hurting four children.
