Karachi:
The Syndh (CTD) contribution department and federal intelligence agencies dismantled on Saturday a research and analysis wing network of the Indian Intelligence Agency (RAW), allegedly involved in the murder of social activist Abdul Rehman in Badin.
IG CTD Additional Azaad Khan, along with DIG GHULAM AZFAR MAHESAR and SSP IRFAN ALI BAHADUR, reported the reporters about the case. Six suspects have been arrested and confessed to plan terrorist plots in Karachi, CTD officials said at a press conference at the Central Police office.
According to the officials, Abdul Rehman, 45, known locally for the well -being work, was shot dead in the jurisdiction of the Matli Police Station of the Badin district in May. The assailants fled after the attack. The researchers said that CCTV images and witnesses identified three suspects. Two were arrested, and the weapon and homicidal motorcycle used were recovered.
CTD declared that RAW had established a safe house in Karachi and that the plot was a teacher for an agent named Sanjay Sanjeev Kumar, aka Fauji, based in a state of the Gulf. He allegedly recruited Salman and Arsalan de Sheikhupura, who later formed a gang with Muhammad Umair, Sajad, Obaid and Shakeel, with Umair leading the operation.
The authorities said that RAW provided significant funds for the attack, with transfers of money tracked through banks and other channels. There was a separate case under terrorist financing laws.
Six suspects, Umair Asghar, Sajjad, Obaid, Shakeel, Arsalan and Talha Umair, were arrested, and weapons were seized, a motorcycle and mobile phones. The authorities said the efforts continued to arrest other accomplices and facilitators.
