Rawalpindi deportes more than 2,200 Afghan


Rawalpindi:

The District Administration and Police have deported a total of 2,278 national Afghan of Rawalpindi in the last two months.

In addition, 1,815 Afghan individuals and their relatives were released from detention centers after presenting legal documents that prove their legal entry in Pakistan.

On Friday, the national Afghan Wali Jan, who was allegedly involved in several crimes, including murder and assault in Rawalpindi, was formally deported and delivered to the Afghan authorities on the Torkham border.

Due to Ashura and Muharram’s activities, the Afghan center in the Hajj complex has been temporarily closed for two days.

It will be reopened on Monday, July 7.

Earlier this month, the District Administration and Police, in a joint operation, arrested and deported 205 Afghans who had illegally entered Pakistan.

A young Afghan, who was arrested, hurt himself hitting his head with iron bars for not being released and deported.

In addition, the district administration released 155 families and young Afghan arrested, since they had visa travel documents.
