President Donald Trump threw a curved ball into the NFL world during the weekend when he threatened to endanger the RFK stadium site of the Washington commanders if they did not change their name to the Redskins.
Phil Mendelson, the president of the Washington Council, DC, suggested 106.7 the DC fan in the “Grant and Danny” program that would not have “any problem” with a possible name change.

“He suggested that the past opposition of the team would move back to the city, while Redskins was more called to do with Dan Snyder than the name,” wrote Radio Grant Pauln on Mendelson. “He suggested that he would have no problem welcoming the team with the name of Redskins now.”
It seemed to be the last support nod for move since Trump fired two social publications of truth during the weekend on nickname.
The secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Scott Turner, who played for the Redskins, supported the move on Sunday.
“The Washington ‘whatever it is’ should change its name immediately to the Washington Redskins football team. There is a big cry for this,” Trump wrote first. “Similarly, the Cleveland Indians, one of the six original baseball teams, with a historical past.
“Our great Indian people, in large quantities, want this to happen. His inheritance and prestige are systematically removed. Times are different now that three or four years ago. We are a country of passion and common sense. Owners, do it!”
Then, he threatened to endanger the agreement of the commanders to take care of the old RFK stadium site if they did not return to the name.

“My statement about the Redskins of Washington has exploded completely, but only in a very positive way,” Trump wrote in a second social publication of truth. “I can put a restriction on them that if they do not change the name to the ‘Washington Redskins”, and getting rid of the ridiculous nickname, ‘Washington commanders’, I will not make a deal to build a stadium in Washington. The team would be much more valuable, and the agreement would be more exciting for everyone.”
Daniel Snyder changed the name of the Washington’s team of Washington Redskins to the Washington football team before the start of the 2020 season in the middle of a summer of racial tensions. The team finally became Washington’s commanders, and Snyder sold the team to Josh Harris.
Harris said in the “special report” of Pak Gazette Channel in April that the team would not bring back the name of the Redskins even with plans to build a new stadium in Washington, DC
“The name of the commanders has actually acquired a surprising type of element in our building,” Harris replied to Bret Baier’s question about the name of Redskins that returns as part of this new stadium agreement. “So, people that certain types of players are difficult, who love football, are delegated commanders and Jayden [Daniels]For example, he is a commander, and are classified.

“And, you know, the commercial staff has gotten into it, and obviously, we are in a military city here. There are more military personnel than anywhere else, so we are moving forward with the name of the commanders, excited about that and not looking back.”
