The Federal Government has announced a reduction of RE1 per liter in gasoline prices for the next fortnight, as of February 16, 2025, in line with the recent fall in world fuel markets.

According to a notification issued by the Finance Division on Saturday, the new price of gasoline will be RS256.13 per liter, below RS257.13.

Similarly, the price of high speed diesel (HSD) has been reduced from RS267.95 to 263.95 after a reduction of RS4 per liter.

“The oil and gas regulatory authority (OGRA) has reviewed and adjusted the prices of the consumer of oil derived products in view of recent fluctuations in the international oil market,” notification said.

Meanwhile, the prices of other oil derived products have also been reduced.

The new chest oil price will be RS171.65, for RS3.20 of RS174.85 per liter. Similarly, the price of light diesel oil has been reduced by RS5.25 of RS161.06 to RS155.81 per liter.
