The Baluchistan government has imposed the prohibition of night travel through several key national roads in the AMI province
The decision, which has been applied through a notification issued by several attached commissioners, affects the main routes in districts such as Kachhi, Noshki, Musa Khel, Gwadar and Zhob.
According to the notification, the restriction applies to public transport, which prohibits travel from 6 pm to 6 am. The prohibition covers several significant roads, including the Quetta-Taphtan road, Lorealai-dera Ghazi Khan Road, Sibi Road, Coastal Highway and Zhob-Dera Ismail Khan Road.
The measure occurs after multiple recent incidents, including a suicide bombing near a rally of the National Baluchistan Party (BNP-M) in Lak Pass in Mastung.
In a separate attack last week, terrorists killed at least eight people, including four workers and four police personnel, in the districts of Kalat and Noshki.
In addition, five passengers were executed two days ago after the armed men intercepted a bus to Karachi in the Kalmat of Gwadar area, forcefully removing the victims before killing them.
Another important attack went to a paramilitary convoy on the Nushki-Dalbandin road, which resulted in the death of five people, including three people from the border body (FC), and injuries to another 35.
The security situation was further deteriorated with an attack against the Jaffar Express by militants affiliated with the Baluchistan Liberation Army (Bla). The attackers exploded a railway route, took the 440 passengers as hostages and hired security forces into prolonged confrontation.
An authorization operation of security personnel led to the elimination of 33 militants and the rescue of hostages. However, 26 passengers, including 18 security personnel, three railway and government officials, and five civilians, lost their lives.
In addition, three FC people were killed in an attack against a security control point before train ambush.
