Revolution plans to launch Bitcoin Lightning payments for Europe users through Lightspark

Digital Bank Revolution is working with Lightspark to launch Bitcoin (BTC) transactions on the Lightning Network to customers in the United Kingdom and the countries selected in the European Economic Area (EEE).

The aim of reducing transaction rates and payment processing time for cryptography users, said LighttsPark in a blog post. When asked in an email, the company did not specify the timeline for when the function will be launched.

LighttsPark, directed by former PayPal executive, David Marcus, provides a backend infrastructure to connect to what he calls the “money network”, a decentralized network for real -time global payments.

Lightning Network is a layer 2 system built at the top of the bitcoin block chain that allows almost instant and low rate transactions. When connecting to the network through Lightspark, Revolution users can avoid congestion and high rates of the base block chain to send BTC faster and more efficiently,

“Integration with LighttsPark is a natural step,” said Crypto General Manager of Revolution, Emil Urmanshin, in the position. “We are always looking to make financial services faster and faster, and their approach to global transactions allows us to do exactly that.”

Integration places Revolution, based in London, among the growing number of Fintech companies that rely on faster crypto-national payment systems. The Bitcoin Strike payment firm centered $ 6 billion in volumes last year, said CEO Jack Mallers in a shared investor letter in an XX last month.
