Ricky Saints made an electric WWE debut in February 2025 when he appeared in the crowd at NXT and declared that the brand needed the “superstar of the future.”

Saints quickly made an impact in NXT.

He won the NXT North American Championship nearly three months after his debut and successfully defended the title against Ethan Page at his first premium live event Stand & Deliver, the biggest show of the year for the brand.

Nearly a year later, Saints made it clear in a recent interview with Pak Gazette Digital that he wants to continue racking up the accolades while he’s in NXT.

He is considering the opportunity to become a two-time NXT Champion at this year’s Stand & Deliver, which would see him mentioned in the same breath as other former stars who have passed through the brand, including Oba Femi, Trick Williams, Tommaso Ciampa, Karrion Kross, Finn Bálor, Shinsuke Nakamura and Samoa Joe.

“I’m focused on becoming a two-time NXT champion, that’s for sure,” Saints said. “That’s a small list of people who have done that and I want to put my name on that list. I’ve done a lot in one year. I want to keep it up.”

“I want to add something else to that list. I want to add something like, ‘Yeah, Ricky was here for a year and he was a two-time NXT Champion. He was a former North American Champion. He did it. He opened Stand & Deliver on his first Stand & Deliver, and now he’s going to close Stand & Deliver.’ It doesn’t get any better than that.”

Saints’ relationship with Page dates back to even before the two were in WWE together.

They have either aligned themselves with each other or confronted each other. The two haven’t been on the same page for a few months now.

“He’s not a bad guy, but the plan hasn’t been what we agreed to,” Saints told Pak Gazette Digital. “So, I need to take care of myself to make sure I win back the NXT Championship again. So if he can’t line up, then that’s the way it’s going to have to be.”

On Saturday, Saints, Page and Tony D’Angelo will compete in a fatal four-way match for Joe Hendry’s NXT Championship. It will be one of the most anticipated matches on the card.
