Ricoh says he has completed his 360 camera line after announcing the new richoh360 Theta A1, which is the Premium Selection of three models, after the Z1 and X iterations.
While you can record 360 degree images, it is better not to think about Theta A1 as a direct rival Insta360 X5 / Gopro Max, but more as a decent alternative to some of the best Timelapse cameras, mainly designed for professional use cases, but with a complete coverage of 360 degrees.
On the one hand, Theta A1 is waterproof, oxide -proof and is found in an extreme temperature -resistant housing. It also has a lasting battery life and is equipped with a range of video codecs designed for long -term recording, minimization of file sizes and energy consumption.
Its image manufacturing skills include fixed 60mp images, 8K video to a maximum of 10 fps and up to 2 fps with data speeds as 8MBPS, more live and 4K live transmission.
Unlike other Theta models, Theta A1 does not have a touch screen, which makes it more difficult to drive for recording in the movement. Together with its modest picture speeds, it is firmly planted in the professional field; Essentially, Theta A1 is designed to carry out a long -term recording in the location, including thimels in construction sites.
In the announcement of the product, Ricoh has outlined three cases of use of professional environment for 360 degree skills of Theta A1: promotion and communication, monitoring of progress and remote inspection, and documentation and audit.
In simple speech, these applications cover everything from visual tours, interactive floor plans, regular capture of construction sites or industrial facilities for plan compliance controls, in addition to insurance, quality control and maintenance with full coverage of 360 degrees.
Like other Theta models, the A1 is compatible with the RicoH360 application, which offers functions such as remote shots, cloud storage, more image editions and sharing.
What is not yet clear is the price or availability of Theta A1. Ricoh promotes advance orders by the end of this month, with the price of continuing. For the context, Theta Z1 costs $ 1,150 / £ 1,150, while Theta X for consumers is $ 600 / £ 750. Wait that Theta A1 arrives north of the Z1.
