Riley Gaines cried the murder of Charlie Kirk, Whom he called “a friend and mentor”, in a long and emotional video in which he condemned the act of political violence against the popular conservative activist.
Gaines, Outkick’s host “Gaines for girls” The podcast and an American swimmer 12 times from the NCAA, shared their thoughts in a video published by Outkick Thursday. The video occurred after the murder of Kirk, who was fatally beaten by a single bullet during an oratory event at the Utah University Campus on Wednesday.

“I lost a friend, a mentor, the person I am going,” Gaines began. “The mind and intellectual genius that is Charlie Kirk, the generational talent, I believe that its impact only as a person and what they have been able to do through the turning point, of which I am a very proud taxpayer, I speak of it in this program all the time, which has been able to transform a nation, to revive a culture of young people, people like me.”

Gaines, who sat next to Kirk for the event “American Comeback Tour” in San Francisco State University In May, he cried for Kirk’s wife and two young children.
“I lost a friend and a mentor, Erika lost her husband, I can’t help thinking about her. This is one of the most friendly and compassionate women that you can imagine. This was her greatest fear, I mean we had talked about not talking about that. This is her greatest fear, I will not enter the details there, two children.

Like many who have spoken on social networks after the murder, Gaines called the lack of tolerance for open discourse in the United States

“This nation has lost the best and most effective more effective activist I have ever had and I am not even talking about a conservative activist. Gaines congratulated Kirk for his disposition “to enter the belly of the beast” and talk about the values that mattered.
Police confirmed Friday that a suspect in Kirk’s murder was arrested. He was identified as Tyler Robinson, a 22 -year -old Utah resident. The Governor of Utah, Spencer Cox, declared that a member of Robinson’s family contacted a family friend who later contacted the Sheriff’s office of Washington County “with information that Robinson had confessed or implied that he had committed the incident.”
