The legend of tennis Martina Navratilova has made it clear that her fight to maintain the women’s sports fair is larger than the side of the corridor in which she is politically.

When Simone Biles made a personal attack against Riley Gaines in an apparent defense of transgender athletes in women’s and female sports, Navratilova supported the old NCAA All-American on this issue.

“Riley is a magician and could not disagree with her more about politics, but in keeping safe and fair sports for girls and women, I agree with her (100%),” Navratilova wrote on X on Saturday. “Like most people, Republicans, Democrats and everything else do.”

Navratilova has made clear in the past that he is not in favor of President Donald Trump, and a quick scan of his publications in social networks would underline that. However, he has lamented the inaction of the Democrats on the issue of transgender athletes who participate in sports of women and girls.

When Trump signed an executive order to prohibit biological men from women and girls sports, he triggered a fierce message towards the Democratic Party.

“I hate that the Democrats completely fail women and girls in this very clear issue of women’s sports only for women,” he wrote in an X publication.

He also expressed his frustration in January when the House of Representatives approved the protection of women and girls in the sports act. Only two Democrats voted with the Republicans in the bill.

“More Democrats must advance here. I know many who agree but are afraid to speak due to re -election. I say they do the right thing. Cultivate a column,” he wrote in X.

As the conversation about Biles and the host of Outkick enraged, Navratilova does not seem to be backing off his position.
