Riot Platforms Bucks Tendency of the weak production figures of January Bitcoins

Riot Platforms (Riot) undermined 527 Bitcoin (BTC) in January, marking its highest monthly production since December 2023 and reflecting a 2% increase over the previous month, according to Farside data.

However, the most wide Bitcoin mining sector reported disappointing production figures, with most of the main mining companies that experience month by month.

Mara Holdings (Mara) undermined 750 BTC in January, which represents a 13% decrease from December. Similarly, Cleanspark (CLSK) saw a 6%decrease, undermining 626 BTC. Other mining firms also reported negative production figures month after month:

  • Iren (Iren): 2% decrease
  • Core Scientific (Corz): 13% decline
  • Encryption mining (encryption): 7% decrease
  • Bit Farm (Bitf): 5% decrease
  • HUT 8 (HUT): 31% decrease

Mining Production Numbers (Farside)

The generalized decrease in Bitcoin production can be attributed to the growing difficulty of the network, which both Riot and the CEO of Mara cited as a key challenge.

“In January, our production saw a 12% decrease in the month in the blocks won, largely due to fluctuations in the difficulty of the network and intermittent reduction,” said Fred Thiel, president and CEO of Mara .

“Riot extracted 527 Bitcoin in January, marking the second consecutive month of greater production despite the growing difficulty of the network,” said Jason Les, CEO of Riot.

Bitcoin’s mining difficulty adjusts every 2,016 blocks to maintain an average block time of 10 minutes. It is projected that the following difficulty adjustment, established for February 9, will reach a historical maximum, exceeding the previous record of 108.11 billion (T).

Performance of mining actions to date

Bitcoin has increased 4% YTD, serving as a reference point for mining actions. Among the miners:

  • Cipher Mining (CIFF) is the outstanding artist, 27% more
  • Iren, Riot and CLSK have published two -digit profits
  • Bitdeer Technologies (BTDR) has dropped 25%
  • Core Scientific (Corz) and Terrawulf (Wulf) drop approximately 10%.

Hive (Hive), BTDR and Wulf have not yet informed in January production figures.
