Robert Pattinson criticizes fans for hating ‘Twilight’ for almost 20 years

Robert Pattinson has responded to fans’ comments about his film that was released almost two decades ago.

In a recent translated interview with GQ Spainspoke candidly about fans’ reaction to the Twilight series.

“I love that people keep telling me, ‘Man, ‘Twilight’ ruined the vampire genre,’” the Hollywood actor began.

Reflecting on his first twilight moviewhich was released in 2008, Pattinson continued: “Are you still stuck on that shit?”

“How can you be sad about something that happened almost 20 years ago? It’s crazy.”

Twilight is an adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s novel about a teenager named Bella Swan, played by Kristen Stewart, who has fallen in love with a vampire, Edward Cullen, played by Pattinson.

Previously, the 38-year-old actor opened up about his efforts for the film, telling the outlet, “I wanted to make it as artistic as possible.”

“We had this weird tension where the studio was afraid to make things too emo and stuff. I thought that was the only way to play it.”

“I spent a lot of time [on set] enraged… I can’t believe the way he acted half the time.”

Before concluding, Pattinson recalled when a manager on the film thanked him for smiling and told him, “You’ll get fired at the end of the day if you don’t stop doing what you’re doing.”

For those who don’t know, the fantasy film series grossed over $3.30 billion worldwide.
