Roku is one of the main services for free transmission in the US. Thanks to its variety of fast channels (transmission TV with free ads), and now the platform is preparing to launch a similar free update for users of the United Kingdom.
As of October, Roku users in the United Kingdom will have access to 40 new rapid channels that provide viewers with a wide range of free transmission content. These new fast channels will be available on new and existing Roku devices, and come at no additional cost or subscription rate, which is the best part.
Roku’s rapid channels offer 24/7 visualization and are classified as different themes and genres. In addition to providing viewers with a constant flow of free content, Roku also sees this as an opportunity for advertisers to communicate with the right audience with personalized ads.
As mentioned, the United Kingdom’s free channel line will have titles grouped by gender, which include entertainment, true crime, lifestyle, documentaries and more. Some of the new channels will include unsolved mysteries for crime, Naturetime for wildlife and this old house for home and garden, which you can access through the Roku channel and the new live television area.
When Roku launches its fast channels, it will mark the first big free update for the users of the United Kingdom after its successful reception in the United States, Canada and South America. From the announcement, the country manager of Roku UK, Richard Halton, has expressed emotion on behalf of the company, sharing the following:
“With the launch of our first fast channels in the United Kingdom this October, we are giving the spectators more options than ever, from iconic series and films to new favorites and genres of niche, all for free.
