The vacation order of Estando by the Superior Court of Lahore in the case of taxes on the unexpected entrance of the banks resulted in a benefit of RS 11.5 billion for the National Treasury.

While in this account, in general, in a month, the National Treasury accumulated a financial benefit of RS 34.5 billion.

This success was obtained due to the vision of the economic reforms of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the improvement in the performance of the Federal Income Board (FBR).

The Prime Minister had noticed the order of stay in cases related to the tax on the unexpected income of the banks under the Finance Law of 2023 and asked the Minister of Law, Minister of Finance, Attorney General and President FBR that constitutes the best team to discuss these cases.

In the last month, due to the team’s efforts, in the first place, 23 billion RS were recovered after the verdicts of the Sindh Superior Court and now, 11.5 billion of the decision of the Superior Court of Lahore were obtained.

The Prime Minister appreciated the efforts of Minister of Law and Justice, Azam Nazeer Tarar, Minister of Finance, Muhammad Aurengzeb, Attorney General Mansoor Awan, President FBR Arshad Mehmood Langial, Secretary Finance Imdad Bosal and his team.

The Prime Minister said that the Ministers of Law and Finance and the Attorney General’s team made historical achievement with their hard work possible.

He said that due to these creative and strong steps, tax collection could increase and there would be hope for a better economy.

A substantial amount of RS 34.5 billion was deposited in the National Treasury and this money could now be spent on health, education and public welfare projects, he added.

He said that with the grace of Allah Almighty Pakistan would soon become self -sufficient with this type of steps.
