Karachi:
A man was stolen from RS3 million in broad daylight, outside his home, in the area of the Luxury Defense Housing Authority (DHA) on Tuesday.
According to the police, four unidentified armed men traveled two motorcycles snatched Shahid Hussain’s cash near the Rehman Mosque in DHA IV phase, within the limits of the Gizri Police Station. Images of CCTV of the incident emerged, showing the suspects committing the crime.
Hussain had just returned from a bank in the commercial area of Badr, located in the jurisdiction of the Darakhshan police station, and left their car when the thieves hit. A suspect took a gun from a bag and took the bag full of cash. The suspects even opened the bag in the place to confirm the amount before fleeing the scene.
The footage shows the passersby present at the time of theft, but the suspects managed to escape without resistance. The face of a suspect is clearly visible in the footage, while the others wore caps, masks or helmets, to hide their identities. Police have registered a case on the victim’s complaint and has launched an investigation.
