Thirty bananas rupean have led to the death of two young people from Kot Radha Kishan, where their funerals were flooded with villagers shocked over the weekend.
Wajid and his brother Rashid, both in their veins, had traveled to Raiwind, Lahore by bus before planning to return to their village. They went to a group of fruit vendors to buy bananas near Rohi Nala.
The bananas are RS130 per dozen, but the brothers only had a note of one hundred rupees and a note of five thousand rupees. They asked the fruit seller to give them changes for the biggest note. But when he said he didn’t have it, the brothers asked him to reduce his number of bananas. A fight broke out.
Wajid and Rashid were very beaten and the fruit seller asked for a support of some friends, who played the Crick near.
A video of the fight shows rashid cradling his brother in his lap on the ground, the blood slides through his head, when a young man charges him and hits him in the head with a crying bat.
Wajid died on the spot, and Rashid was taken to the hospital. But he did not survive the head injury and died on Monday. His funeral was celebrated the same day.
Police arrested a man identified as Taimur as the attacker who pushes the Cricket and a FIR has been registered by intentional murder by the Raiwind City Police Station under section 302 of the Pakistan Criminal Code.
Thousands of citizens attended the funeral prayer. Wajid, 22, was not married, but Rashid leaves five children. Police are looking for the other fruit sellers who participated in the fight.
The victims’ families said the passers -by filmed the assault instead of helping and appealed to justice.
The locals urged to deliver the case to the newly formed Crime Department of Punjab (CCD) and suggested FIR against those who filmed the attack instead of helping.
