The center of Minnesota Timberwolves, Rudy Gobert, and his pregnant girlfriend, Julia Bonilla, separated before the appearance in the final of the West Conference of the team.

Gobert and Bonilla already have a son together and saw her in a Timberwolves game on April 13, TMZ Sports reported Friday. But a source close to the wives and girlfriends of the players told The Outlet that, despite their proximity, things apparently changed once she revealed that she was pregnant.

Bonilla sought to return to France after the rupture, but Gobert wants her and her son to stay in the United States in the hope of finding a co-scheduled upbringing situation once the Minnesota season ends, TMZ Sports reported.

Bonilla and Gobert published statements as the report of the breakdown decreased.

“I am going through one of the most painful moments of my life, feeling isolated, far from my family and friends,” Bonilla wrote in his Instagram stories before eliminating his account. “I considered Rudy the love of my life. I left everything for him. I gave him a son and poured my heart in our relationship.

“When everyone criticized and insulted him, I supported him, he always put it first and chose it, always. Despite how they have treated me, I choose to protect their name for the good of my children. I have never been unfaithful to the father of my children.

“I am a mother and I must prioritize my health and well -being. Thank you for respecting my privacy during this challenging moment.”

Gobert responded to what he called “inaccurate information.”

“Julia and I are currently in the painful process of redefining our relationship of joint upbringing,” he wrote on Instagram. “Being a father is one of the deepest and most significant experience that I can live. It is one of my most important life purposes and will be so forever.

“I am completely committed to continuing to support the well -being of all the people who care. I am asking everyone to refrain and respect our privacy in these difficult times.”

Gobert helped the T’wolves at the end of the conference.
