On the eve of Peace, Ukraine and Russia conversations, war with one of the biggest drones battles of its conflict, a Russian road bridge exploded on a passenger train and an ambitious attack on bombers with nuclear capacity in Siberia.
After days of uncertainty about whether Ukraine would assist or not, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said that Defense Minister, Rustem Uumev, would sit with Russian officials in the second round of direct peace conversations in Istanbul on Monday.
The first round of conversations more than a week produced the greatest exchange of prisoners of war, but did not make sense of any consensus on how to stop fighting.
Amid peace conversations, however, there was a lot of war.
At least seven people died and 69 were injured when a road bridge in the Bryansk region of Russia, a neighbor of Ukraine, was exploited by a passenger train that was heading to Moscow with 388 people on board. No one has yet claimed responsibility.
Ukraine attacked Russian nuclear long -range bombers in a military base in the depths of Sunday, said a Ukrainian intelligence officer, the first attack so far from the front lines to more than 4,300 km (2,670 miles) away.
The official said the operation involved hiding drones loaded with explosives inside the wooden sheds roofs and loading them into trucks taken to the perimeter of the air bases.
A total of 41 Russian combat planes were beaten, said the official.

Ukraine did not tell the Trump administration about the attack in advance, said axios journalist Barak Ravid in X, citing an unidentified Ukrainian official.
The Russian Ministry of Defense recognized in the Telegram messaging application that Ukraine had launched drone strikes against Russian military airfields in five regions on Sunday.
He said that the attacks repelled the assaults in all regions except two, Murmansk in the north end and irkutsk in Siberia, where “the launch of FPV drones from an area very close to the air fields resulted in several fire aircraft.”
The fires were extinguished without casualties. Some people involved in the attacks had been arrested, the ministry said.
Russia launched 472 drones in Ukraine during the night, said the Ukraine Air Force, the highest nightlife of the war so far. Russia had also launched seven missiles, said the Air Force.
Russia said that he had advanced more deeply in the Sumy region of Ukraine, and open-source pro-ucranian maps showed that Russia took 450 square kilometers of Ukrainian lands in May, its fastest monthly advance in at least six months.
The president of the United States, Donald Trump, has demanded that Russia and Ukraine make peace and has threatened to move away if they do not, potentially promoting the responsibility of supporting Ukraine on the shoulders of the European powers, which have much less effective and much smaller actions of weapons than the United States.
According to Trump’s envoy, Keith Kellogg, the two parties in Turkey would present their respective documents that describe their ideas for the terms of peace, although it was clear that after three years of intense war, Moscow and kyiv remain very separate.
Putin ordered tens of thousands of troops to invade Ukraine in February 2022 after eight years of struggle in eastern Ukraine between the separatists backed by Russian and the Ukrainian troops. The United States said that more than 1.2 million people had been killed and wounded in the war since 2022.
Trump called Putin “crazy” and rebuked Zelenskiy in public in the Oval office, but the president of the United States has also said that he believes that peace is attainable and that if Putin is delayed, then he could impose difficult sanctions on Russia.
In June of last year, Putin established its initial terms for an immediate end of the war: Ukraine must abandon its NATO ambitions and withdraw all its troops from the entire territory of four Ukrainian regions claimed and controlled mainly by Russia.
Ukrainian negotiators in Istanbul would present a proposed roadmap to reach a lasting peace agreement on the Russian side, according to a copy of the document seen by Reuters.
According to the document, there would be no restrictions on the military force of Ukraine after a peace agreement is reached, there is no international recognition of Russian sovereignty in parts of Ukraine taken by the forces of Moscow and repairs for Ukraine.
The document also declared that the current location of the front line would be the starting point for territory negotiations.
Russia currently controls a bit below a fifth of Ukraine, or around 113,100 square km, approximately the same size as the American state of Ohio.
