- Russia is changing its goal to the United Kingdom
- The United Kingdom is holding consistent cyber attacks
- Cyber attacks aim to create chaos and alter services
Putin’s approach has removed the United States to avoid antagonizing the Trump administration, reports the Times. Earlier this year, it was reported that an important group of Russian piracy changed its approach to the United Kingdom US, so it seems that Kremlin is now following its example.
The sources of the British government have described a ‘over -overtheing’ in hybrid attacks since the beginning of 2025, including cyber attacks that seek to sabotage the critical infrastructure, such as the previously observed mapping of submarine fiber optic cables.
Trump’s most favorable attitude towards Russia compared to previous administrations has pushed Russia to turn more severely against Britain, with the chiefs of spy of the United Kingdom that warn that the key facets of the national infrastructure are holding the continuous attacks of the threat actors sponsored by the Russian state.
Sustained attacks
The offensives of the Russian threat actor aim to create ‘sustained chaos in British and European streets,’ says Sir Ken McCallum, general director of MI5. The Russian actors have successfully interrupted and damaged the services in Ukraine, and have flexed the capacities through attacks in energy, agriculture, retail sale and more, giving demoralizing blows to the military and Ukrainian people.
A senior government official told The Times; “Russia’s recent propaganda has been really evident that we are Target No 1,” said the official. “If only the British state were as powerful as they claim.”
These attacks could cause incalculable damage in case a more powerful blow in a target of the United Kingdom. For example, if a medical care organization or an energy provider is disconnected, that could have immediately and potentially potentially mortal consequences.
Another privileged information from Whitehall told the publication: “But when we say indirect, it is not as indirect as it seems. Russia, for example, will create software to a group of severely talented computer pirates and will say ‘fill its boots'”.
