Russia’s ambassador to Pakistan, Albert P. Khorev, has dismissed the reports of the media that allege that Russia has found evidence that Pakistan supplies weapons to Ukraine.
Speaking in a special interaction with the Peshawar Office of the Express PAkGazette, Khorev declared: “We have not found any proof of Pakistani weapons supplies in the Ukraine-Russian conflict. All those statements have no foundation.”
On regional security, Khorev acknowledged that Afghanistan’s efforts to combat militancy were inappropriate, but they attributed this to economic challenges and predominant security conditions in the country.
He identified ISIS as the greatest threat to Russia’s national and regional security, stating that Moscow is closely monitoring the situation and working with regional partners under the format of the “quartet” to counteract terrorism.
Khorev also highlighted Russia’s collaboration with regional countries under the organization of the Collective Security Treaty (CSTE) to eliminate militancy. He reaffirmed Moscow’s support for Pakistan, Afghanistan and other regional states to address militant threats.
