Saif Agata CM for the new Kurram Peace Agreement

Peshawar:

The Provincial Government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has so far eliminated more than 900 bunkers made in the disturbing Kurram, while the tribes at war have also reached an agreement to ensure the roads that cross the district, the first minister of the KP Muhammad Ali Saif said on Saturday.

Tribal leaders in the Kurram district on Saturday reached an agreement on an eight -month peace agreement before Eidul Fitr. According to a press release issued by the Jirga who signed the agreement, the tribal elders met at Qila Abbas Saddar to restore regional peace.

The statement said that the Shiite leaders of Alizai and Sunni leaders of Bagan agreed to a peace treaty to restore peace and establish tolerance in the area through mutual consultations. “

“The representatives of both sects agreed to establish a peace treaty for an eight -month period to avoid any type of conflict in the area and try to improve the situation,” he added.

According to SAIF, the efforts of KP Prime Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, to bring peace to the problematic district have begun to obtain results. He clarified that the agreement to ensure roads in Kurram is part of a previous peace agreement signed by conflicting parts in Kohat last year.

He said that the main objective of the agreement is to guarantee the safety of the high -parachinar road. “As part of the Kohat Peace Agreement, Kurram is authorized by bunkers and weapons. After the elimination of bunkers, the weapons delivery process will begin,” he said.

Saif said that eliminating bunkers and weapons is essential for lasting peace in Kurram. “That is why Prime Minister Ali Amin Gandapur personally supervises all developments,” he said.
