Salik raises the issue of passports blocked with the Interior Ministry

Islamabad:

The Pakistani abroad and the Minister of Human Resources Development Chaudhry Salik Hussain have raised the issue of passport blockages for Pakistani abroad in the Ministry of Interior.

In a letter to the Interior Ministry, Hussain emphasized that this is a sensitive matter that requires immediate investigation. He said: “Pakistani abroad are our assets, and should not be harassed.”

The minister expressed his commitment to ensure that Pakistani abroad are treated fairly, announcing the establishment of facilitation desks to support them.

The intervention of Hussain follows a letter from the bearers of the Office of the Pakistan Business Forum France, who complained about the passport block. The forum stressed that the personnel of the Pakistani airports were extorting bribes of up to RS500,000, which forced the travelers to pay in exchange for the accelerated processing of documents, which according to them could lead to lost flights.

The Pakistan Business Forum, France, asked the minister to restore the confidence of the Pakistani abroad, who were concerned about the situation.
