Sammy Sosa returns to the puppies shelter after a one -year crack

A long dispute between a historical franchise and one of its most emblematic players has finally finished.

Sammy Sosa starred in the Chicago puppies in the 1990s and early 2000s, with their three seasons of 60 cases forcing fans to Wrigley Field.

However, in the midst of his apparent use of steroids, which he finally admitted in December, Sosa and the organization had a crack.

Sosa was not welcome to anything related to puppies for more than a decade, and had not returned to Chicago from 2007 to the beginning of last year for a signing of memories.

But two months ago, Sosa finally issued an apology in which he admitted to having made “mistakes”, an apology, said the owner of the puppies, Tom Ricketts, was the only way for the two parties to make the peace.

After the apology, Sosa appeared at a fans of the puppies, and on Tuesday, he returned with a puppies uniform at the shelter for a spring training game. It was his first time in the puppies in 21 years.

“Memories are brought. I’m happy to see everyone,” said Sosa. “I returned to my surroundings.”

Sosa wrote his apology in which he said “he had always been a puppy.”

“I left everything in the field for the fans of the puppies and the puppies because I wanted to win and make fans happy. I loved seeing Wrigley fans in the right field stands in each game at home,” Sosa wrote. “I understand why some players in my time do not always get the recognition that our statistics deserve. There were times when I did what I could to recover from the injuries in an effort to maintain my strength to perform more than 162 games. I never broke any law, but in retrospect, I made mistakes and sorry.

“We achieved great things as a team, and I worked extremely hard in the batting cage to become a great hitter. Pubble fans are the best in the world, and I hope that fans, puppies and I can unite and move forward again. We cannot change the past, but the future is brilliant. In my heart, I have always been a puppy and I cannot wait for the fans of the puppies again.”

The organization chose Sosa in the Hall of Fame of his team last month.

Sosa is the only player in the history of MLB who reached at least 60 home runs in three separate seasons. He retired with 609 in his career, which is occupied by the ninth all time, but Ped’s speculation has kept it out of Cooperstown.
