Finally, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge has arrived. The Super Delgado flagship mocked for the first time in Galaxy unpacked in January, but now it has officially revealed in a launch video published on the Samsung YouTube channel.
The Galaxy S25 EDGE joins the Samsung Galaxy S25, Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus and Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra in the broader S25 family, and seems to be configured among the best Android phones only for aesthetic value.
We are reacting to the telephone announcement in our Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Live blog, but then we have gathered five things that you need to know about the Galaxy S25 EDGE, from its design specifications to its durability credentials.
Surprise! It is super thin
Naturally, given both his name and the official fictitious units that Samsung joked at the World and Mobile World Congress, we knew that the advantage was going to be thin, and now we know how thin and light it is really the phone.
The Galaxy S25 EDGE measures only 5.8 mm at its thinnest point, which makes the telephone of the thinner galaxy so now. The standard galaxy S25 measures 7.2 mm, while the Ultra S25 is a relatively thick 8.2 mm, so the edge really marks a step forward in terms of design.
However, even more impressive is the weight of the phone. The S25 edge weighs only 163 g, which is almost identical to the standard Galaxy S25, but here it is obtaining a much larger AMOLED screen. That is the same size screen that you will find in the Galaxy S25 Plus, but the edge is 14% lighter and 21% thinner than that particular model.
I do not spare in durability

The thinner makes a phone, the less durable it becomes, but Samsung has equipped the S25 edge with a series of impressive durability specifications.
Like the Ultra S25, the phone gets a titanium frame, but unlike the rest of the Galaxy S25 line, the USA CORNING GORILLA Glass Ceramic 2 edge (instead of Victus 2) in its rear panel. This is essentially Samsung’s response to Apple’s ceramic shield on the iPhone, with ceramic crystals embedded in the glass to improve resistance against cracks and scratches.
Given its size and weight, this does not necessarily mean that the edge is more durable than its brothers, but it is sure to expect a comparable drop resistance in the S25 line.
As for water resistance, the edge obtains an IP68 classification, and the phone is available in three thematic titanium colors: ICICLUE Titanium, Titanium Silver and Titanium Jetblack.
Camera commitments

When it comes to cameras, the edge obtains a 200MP width lens, a 12MP wide lens and a 12MP Selfie camera.
The elephant in the room here is that there is no telephoto camera to speak, which is something that will find in any other S25 model. But by equipping the edge with the same main camera as the Ultra S25, Samsung has ensured that its last flagship will remain a versatile shooter, which offers a 2x optical quality zoom (through a sensor culture) and a strong low light performance.
The edge also obtains 8K video recording capabilities, and Samsung’s provisional engine with AI is available to improve the image quality, optimize zoom and provide several photo editing features.
The same great power

In performance, and the S25 edge has the same chipset and RAM specifications as the rest of the Galaxy S25 line. That means a Galaxy version of the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, 12 GB of RAM and the complete set of Galaxy AI tools.
You will get an audio draft, a generative edition and now brief directly out of the box, and as we hope, Samsung commits a seven -year market and safety updates for the Galaxy S25 EDGE.
Battery duration throughout the day?

The big question around the Galaxy S25 Edge was if a super thin design would come at the expense of battery life, and it is difficult to say at this stage if that is the case.
The Galaxy S25 EDGE has a 3,900 mAh battery, which is quite identical to the battery in the standard S25. In the tests, that phone lasted us a lot for a full day, but the battery on the edge has to feed a much larger screen of 6.7 inches.
Even so, Samsung continues to promise the battery life throughout the day of its new super thin flagship, so we will have to put that claim in the test in our complete review of the device.
As for the load, the edge obtains 25W, 15W and 7.5W wireless load capabilities. Those are identical load specifications for the S25 and S25 Plus, so even if the phone battery is a smaller touch than we would like, Samsung has not committed when it comes to the load speed.

With an initial price of $ 1,099.99 / £ 1.099 / AU $ 1,849, the Galaxy S25 EDGE is far from being a cheap telephone, but it is certainly an attractive proposal for those who value style and portability above all.
